Spiritual Retreat For Our Teachers
Every January, we have a spiritual retreat for our teachers to bless them with a time of refreshment and growth in the Lord.
Enjoy a couple great testimonies from the retreat…
Carol’s Testimony
Danny Quirion shares with us about, Carol, one of the ladies he was able to minister to:
“Do what you can and God will do what you cannot”. — This was the theme of this year’s teacher’s retreat at Emafini.
I’d like to highlight something God did and something only He could do. Carol, a teacher from Maphiveni CarePoint, had an amazing life transforming experience.
Carol came to understand the Good News of Jesus Christ in the true Biblical way. Christ became real to her for the first time and she recognized her need to immerse herself in the Savior. Carol testified of this and that she also learned that when God calls someone for His purpose He also provides and equips them to carry out His plan. Carol has a tough, but amazing frontline ministry of sharing the love of Jesus face to face with the Maphiveni children and community.
I believe God used this time of refreshing to alter her life for all eternity, bring her into alignment with what He has called her to do, and dramatically increased her faith. I trust that God will mirror Himself through Carol and bless her obedience to do what she could do but allowing God to do what only He can.
Ruth’s Testimony
Randy and Karen Brennan share with us another testimony of God’s amazing transformation. :
Ruth, one of our teachers from Zombodzee CarePoint, has been walking with the Lord for years, yet the Lord touched her in a deeper way during the retreat.
During the three day conference, we spent time reflecting on God’s word and his provision of salvation, forgiveness, healing, restoration and protection through Jesus Christ. During the Lord’s Supper, Ruth reflected on her relationship with a Holy God, and realized that there were things in her life she needed to change. She turned those things over to the Lord, asked for forgiveness and was cleansed completely from the things that were hindering her closeness to the Lord. Following repentance, her time of refreshing from the Lord came, just as his word says.
Ruth left the retreat renewed, refreshed and filled with the joy of her salvation knowing that she has a loving God who cares about her every need.
