Day 3 - Books & School Supplies

3 August 2009 9 Comments

The note simply said, “Thank you for the pencils. Our whole class was sharing one pencil and most days I didn’t get to use it. Now we each have our own.” Lord, provide our children with the supplies they need for learning. Knowing how to read eventually enables them to hold a job that pays them well enough to climb out of poverty. Reading the Word of God enables richness in their souls.

“All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.” - Isaiah 54:13 (TNIV)

Lord we pray that you will help provide them with the supplies they need, Lord as it is written “I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace.” so let it be. In your son Jesus Christ name we pray Amen!

Our entire office is praying for the supplies necessary to make sure that every child is able to read, write, and do math. We want our kids to be leaders throughout Africa and they will need a good education to do that. Lord please help us get every child to school.

God, we come before you to lift up the needs of these children, who by your provision, will be able to receive the tools they need to become better leaders. Bless their minds as they gain the knowledge they need to earn a good education, keep discouragement away from them and their teachers, and reveal to them such incredible teachings in your word, for their testimony is powerful, the Jesus on the inside of them is unshakable. Amen.

How could we do our jobs without the proper tools? God has blessed us with those tools to use them to properly perform the work he has assigned us. God, please help us help the kids to have the tools for learning that they so desperately need.
