Children's Cup celebrates 16 years of ministry.

In the "olden days," when a young lady turned 16, a party was held in her honor, recognizing her as a maiden eligible for dating. The celebration was called, "Sweet Sixteen."

Sweet Sixteen also can be a 16-gauge long recoil operated shotgun, which was designed by John M. Browning. Or an NCAA Basketball tournament made up of the last 16 teams left in the championship.

And it was also a sweet little love song, written by a guy named James Thornton in 1898, sung by many artists including Al Jolson, Perry Como, and Shirley Temple.

For Children's Cup 2008 is a year of celebration. It has taken of loads of teamwork to accomplish the job God has called us to do thus far-touching the lives of little ones who otherwise might never have had a chance to know the love of Jesus.

And we couldn't have done it without YOU, so we are inviting you to celebrate with us. As you turn the pages of this magazine, praise God that each face you see and story you read is because you had a part.

We are also giving you a look at our targets for this year-shooting for the future of accomplishments that will bring more people to a life of hope (Hope's name is Jesus). Ask God what you can do to help with any of these goals we have set.

Ah, sixteen! Sweet.
