EAGLE GROVE, IOWA: CHURCH OF THE OPEN BIBLE
"Dutch" was a combat leader in Vietnam. He was captured and tortured for eighteen days at Vu Bang. After he came to Christ he personally paid for notebooks for the several thousand students at the Vu Bang school.
'For me the best conclusion to this war is to have their children love me."
He is telling this Vietnamese government official in the foyer of the church, "I have forgiven the people of Vietnam for the torture. Jesus has taken away the pain and the hate."
EAGLE GROVE, IOWA: CHURCH OF THE OPEN BIBLE
My junior high Sunday School teacher, Sister Alice (a supporter of missions all her life), meets a Vietnamese government official in the foyer of our church.
Untold numbers of children around the world owe their lives to this Godly lady.
EAGLE GROVE, IOWA: PASTOR JUANITA MEYER
I want to honor the memory of my boyhood pastor's wife.
She was a gifted musician and playwrite who invested her life in my youth group. There were up to 40 of us (more than 20 of which entered ministry and missions).
She was an inspiration to us all.
IOWA: OUR YOUTHFUL DREAMS
We thought we had it all--including a Cadillac Eldorado convertible.
How paltry our dreams were before we gave our lives to Christ.
How far beyond anything we ever imagined are the opportunities and experiences God has allowed in our lives.
EAGLE GROVE, IOWA: FAMILY JAM SESSION
Jean, her dad and mom Harry and Vera Bougher making happy music.
The Boughers were always musical and family jam sessions were a powerful part of their lives.
Jean has sung Gospel music all over the world including in the famed Opera House in Hanoi, Vietnam.
IOWA, HIWAY 17 NEAR MY BOYHOOD HOME
Tornado weather!
EAGLE GROVE, IOWA
Isn't she pretty?
It looks like I'm guarding my Coke in case another refugee or orphan comes by and talks me out of it with his eyes.
