Introducing a New Partner

Introducing a New Partner

As we redevelop our Economic Empowerment programs to best position our sponsored teens for self-sustainability, we continually pursue expanding our network in order to learn new research, innovative practices and methods.

Addressing Global Poverty

Beginning in January 2017, Children’s Cup now partners with PovertyCure, an organization whose mission seeks to ground the battle against local and global poverty in a proper understanding of the human person and society, and to encourage solutions that foster opportunity and unleash the entrepreneurial spirit that already fills poverty-stricken areas of the developed and developing world.

This partnership is based on the desire to promote an ongoing conversation internally within Children’s Cup and externally to address issues related to poverty and economic empowerment. PovertyCure provides resources that challenge conventional perspectives and models while remaining Biblically founded.

Economic Sustainability

As we develop Children’s Cup’s Economic Empowerment program we are committed to pursuing methods that empower sponsored teenagers through character development, job training, and job placement, all centered on principles found in God’s Word. Our goal is for each teenager to become economically sustainable after they graduate high school. In this program, the student is encouraged to pursue a job, a college education or start their own business upon completion. This is the final element of the holistic child development model found in Children’s Cup’s Strategy. PovertyCure’s resources are an additional tool in our tool belt for Children’s Cup programs as we execute our strategy. We are thrilled to be a part of the global conversation on poverty and encourage you to join us!
