Come See My New Chair

Come See My New Chair

You may remember Carlos - one of the precious children we met last year in La Joya- a remote village in the Dominican Republic that we were able to begin serving because of your generosity. Carlos is 6 years old. And although he faces many physical and mental challenges - his smile lights up the atmosphere and his laughter and joy are contagious.

A few weeks ago, Leah, from 828 Church along with a group of other pastors visiting from the USA met Carlos. As Leah spent time with Carlos, she noticed that his wheelchair was starting to fall apart. Leah rallied some friends to help purchase a brand new wheelchair for Carlos from a local vendor.

This month, our team was able to surprise him with this new gift and he was thrilled. He wheeled around all day telling his friends “come see my new chair!!!”

Carlos is a treasured one indeed and we can’t wait to see what God continues to do in and through his life! Special thanks to Leah, Ps. Ron Barnard, 828 Church, Peter and Tiffany Gowesky, and all of those that jumped in and made this moment possible! Watch the video now.
