Daniel: A Growing Little Man with a Big Heart

Daniel: A Growing Little Man with a Big Heart

   Erica Harrington
   12 November 2019

Meet Daniel! This young man is eight years old, and attends our La Barquita CarePoint in the Dominican Republic.

At home, Daniel lives with his parents and younger sister in a humble, two-bedroom home made of concrete blocks. His father works in construction and his mother is employed as a housekeeper. They both do their best to provide for their family. Even so, there is still sometimes a lack of food at home. Daniel is known for his big heart and friendly personality. He happily shares with others, and makes new friends easily. One day after he graduates school, Daniel dreams of protecting his community as a police officer.

When he first began attending the CarePoint and our Bible Club, he didn’t know how to be quiet and focus on the teachers. He was learning about Jesus and the stories in the Bible for the first time. Since his time in our program, his behavior has greatly improved, his belly is always full, and he has learned all about God’s love for him. Stories like Daniel’s are made possible because of the impact of your partnership with Children’s Cup!
