Guguletfu: Treasured Ones

Guguletfu: Treasured Ones

   Alyssa Anderson
   5 August 2019

Guguletfu is a word that means “treasured ones” in SiSwati (the language of eSwatini). It is a movement of collaboration between Children’s Cup and local partner churches working to serve children with physical and developmental disabilities, and their caretakers. This year’s Guguletfu event took place in two locations, Liberty Church Manzini and Healing Place Church in Mbabane, Eswatini. Families experienced a day of fun with jumping castles, games, face painting, dancing and lots of love. Every child went home with winter clothing to ensure they stay warm this season. Additionally, families of special needs children had time to fellowship and learn from each other’s experiences.

Because of your generosity, Guguletfu events take place multiple times a year and are reaching children that would otherwise never be reached. Thank you for making an impact in immeasurable ways! Would you consider giving today to ensure every child gets the chance to be “treasured?”
