Jermin's Story

Jermin's Story

   Halle Erwin
   1 February 2019

A child's development is greatly influenced by factors in his or her environment and the experiences he or she faces. Like most 8-year-old boys, Jermin enjoys having the opportunity to solve problems independently. He’s demonstrating more highly-developed thinking skills and the ability to solve problems with creative strategies.

Around the house, Jermin is a big help to his mom and little sister. He’s quick to overcome obstacles and find solutions when needed. Thankfully, his sponsor has empowered him to solve the problem of a growling tummy by attending his local CarePoint.

Although generally soft-spoken, Jermin is quick to call out his curiosities. He loves to learn and dreams of becoming a police officer when he grows up. He’s also the most willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

When asked what he’s learned at the CarePoint, he shared, " to love and have unity with each other."
He went on to say, "I love Jesus for giving us life. I've learned to pray before eating a meal, waking up in the morning, and going to bed to thank God for everything."
To Jermin’s sponsor, we say thank you—thank you for allowing this young boy to continue this journey out of hunger, into hope.
