Juan: God's Love is Tranformational

Juan: God's Love is Tranformational

   Jose Lagos
   26 June 2019

At the young age of seven, Juan’s life consisted of selling drugs on the streets of Los Pinos in Honduras. Due to his parents being addicted, they abandoned him as a baby which left him to be raised by people dedicated to drug trafficking. As his childhood was being stolen from him by not being able to play or go to school, he was stealing money from drug sales just to be able to eat when he was hungry. This led to nights of beatings which resulted in hatred and pain in his heart.

A change began to happen when one of Juan’s friends invited him to the CarePoint where he was received with love, encouragement, and support. He was introduced to the freedom that Jesus offers and was taught about the sacrifice He made for us.

An amazing transformation has taken place in his heart in the past seven months as he has attended the CarePoint. He is now learning to be a child again who gives and receives love, attends school, shares with other children and has friends with whom he can play with and share the love of God. Above all, his greatest progress is laying down drug dealing to follow Christ.

The CarePoint for Juan is a refuge where he has a family that loves him and protects him. It is a place where he receives support to thrive and loving hugs that he has missed out on for such a long time. Juan has also realized that only God alone can bring him a life of love and happiness. We are grateful for sponsors that make stories like these happen every day.
