Khaya: Desperate for a Meal

Khaya: Desperate for a Meal

   Tyler Simmons
   27 August 2019

When two-year-old Khaya first began attending the Othandweni CarePoint in Eswatini, Africa, he was so weak he had to be carried by his siblings. He was covered in sores and extremely malnourished. His greatest need was healthy and consistent food. And the CarePoint provided that for him.

Now a healthy five-year-old boy and receiving daily, nutritious meals, Khaya’s health and demeanor have greatly improved. While his home-life is difficult, he has found a supportive family through the CarePoint. His personality is really starting to shine as he receives love and support through our volunteers.

Khaya dreams to one day be a police officer because he wants to make his community a better place...a place of hope and love like the community he has found at the CarePoint.
