Leslie: God is in Every Situation

Leslie: God is in Every Situation

   Alyssa Anderson
   30 July 2019

Nine-year-old Leslie has faithfully attended the Progreso CarePoint in Mexico for two years. She comes to the CarePoint because it fills her with trust and respect for those around her, and she feels loved.

Recently, while playing at the local park, Leslie fell on a nail and injured her leg badly. Fearing her parents would scold her, Leslie waited until late at night to go home. Once her mother learned of the injury, she brought Leslie to the CarePoint seeking help, since she did not have the financial means to take her to the doctor. Thanks to our CarePoint facilitators, Leslie was brought to a local health center to receive attention for her leg injury.

Although Leslie was afraid, she asked God to be with her. The doctor said it was important that the wound was treated immediately to avoid infection. After treatment, the wound healed quicker than the doctor expected--an answer to Leslie’s prayers!

Although her home life is difficult, Leslie says that she knows God is with her in every situation, just like in this incident. She finds love and safety at the CarePoint, and feels confident that she can come to the facilitators for help.

Would you partner with us to help more children, like Leslie, receive medical care?
