Meet Siphokazi

Meet Siphokazi

Meet Siphokazi! This precious, 5-year-old, young lady brings such joy to our hearts!

She loves to attend activities at the Othandweni CarePoint in South Africa, where her grandmother volunteers as a cook. But due to her physical disabilities, without a wheelchair, attending the CarePoint has been quite challenging. Her grandmother has often carried Siphokazi there herself.

Siphokazi’s grandparents who, even in their old age, continue to work hard to provide for the 5 people in their household – sometimes struggle to afford things for her like diapers, check-ups, and basics.

But thanks to the team at Othandweni’s creativity and your generosity, we were able to partner with a local organization to bless Siphokazi with a new wheelchair and a stash of diapers.

We are also working to help her family receive an official diagnosis of her needs. And in the meantime, we’ve been able to help her sign up for monthly physiotherapy which will help her with movements like being able to turn her head from side to side, raising her arms, and more.

The future is bright for this little one and her amazing family surrounding her. Thanks for making a way, Children’s Cup family!
