"New Hope" Playground

"New Hope" Playground

Olive Grove Church in Clinton, NC is providing a playground for the children at our Nueva Esperanza CarePoint in Honduras to enjoy!

"Nueva Esperanza" which means "New Hope" is located in one of the most impoverished communities in the area. When the pandemic hit, the people went from feelings of hopelessness to feelings of desperation.

Families were starving. Children stared at empty plates for days while mothers cried because there was nothing they could do to ease their suffering. The planting of this feeding center revitalized the community. Mothers and fathers were overjoyed because someone could help them feed their children.

The feeding center quickly filled up as the children found food, love, and acceptance there. The love of Christ flooded the Care Point! Children came for the food, but stayed because they found a home away from home.
At first glance, playground equipment may seem like a frivolous and not very spiritual purchase, but it is anything but.

Sometimes giving hope looks like providing a space for kids who have experienced unimaginable hardships to be able to run, jump, swing, slide, and simply enjoy being kids! Special thanks to Olive Grove and everyone who is making this project possible. Stay tuned for updates.
