Rockford Illinois Gives Back

Rockford Illinois Gives Back

   Halle Erwin
   2 November 2018

Sponsors choose to sponsor a child for a variety of reasons—all, ultimately, hoping to make a lasting impact in their lives. A recent trip for a team from It Works! to Honduras allowed many sponsors to meet their sponsored children face to face. One team member, Rachel, shares, “I’ve seen the difference that sponsorship makes in a child’s life because I’ve seen it personally!”

Stirred up and ready to continue making a difference, upon returning home from Honduras, the team connected 29 unsponsored children to sponsors! Although, this team of world changers didn’t stop there. They committed to raising $1,500 to host a Christmas party for more than 200 children at the CarePoint they visited while in Honduras, too. In true It Works! fashion, they took their commitment to “a whole notha level” by raising more than $3,000 at an event in Rockford, Illinois–enough to provide two CarePoint Christmas parties for children in Honduras!

It Works! Gives Back strives to make a lasting difference in communities locally and globally through financial, practical, and emotional support. This incredible organization is doing just that in the way they’re committed to giving back to those in need around them. The generosity of and the impact made by It Works! continues to blow us away!
