The Power of Fulfilled Promises

The Power of Fulfilled Promises

   Isaias Lucy
   8 February 2019

Just nine and seven years old, these two siblings discovered the Progreso CarePoint in Aguascalientes, Mexico almost one year ago.

Although circumstances this time last year were much different than they are today—they didn’t live under the same roof. Charline began living with her grandmother while Yosgar stayed with their parents.

Despite the disagreements and misunderstandings between their parents and grandmother, they both clearly expressed their ability to see the hand of God at every moment, believing what Matthew 28:20 says to be true: "...and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

After one of the Bible lessons at the CarePoint, Charline and Yosgar decided that they would simply continue showing love and respect to each other, even in the midst of arguments between their grandmother and their parents.

When prompted why they chose to make the decision to rise above their family’s stance? They “wanted to set an example of love and patience”—so that they can “see one day their family united.”

Now, Charline has returned home with her parents and her brother. Charline says that she could see her brother's faith in each prayer and that is the reason why she came back home.

Together, sweet Charline and Yosgar shared “God fulfills his promise with our faith.”
