Paging Doctor Gloria! This loving girl hopes to serve those in need as a doctor one day. It's a great thing she's making excellent progress in school. She's also in good health, and she usually eats meals of chicken and rice. For fun, Gloria enjoys coloring and drawing. She lives with her father and brothers, and takes on the task of washing the family's clothes.

Collet Division

Collet Division is located on the south side of Belize. It is a small division with approximately 4000 people but is very diverse in ethnicity. The intense poverty of this area can be clearly seen with the living conditions. In addition, the practice of witchcraft, alcoholism, and the infection rate of HIV/AIDS all oppress this area. Many of the homes are fatherless, leaving the mothers to carry the load of providing and protecting their children from the hostile environment. Collet Division is one of the most challenging areas of Belize.

Belize

Belize is situated in the Caribbean Sea, south of Mexico, and is about the size of New Hampshire. About 60% of the total population is made up of children and youth. Belize, with all its natural beauty and loving people, still has the highest murder rate per capita in all of Latin America.
