Kamu Siwela

Mahushu
Mahushu is located in the low plains of north eastern South Africa. The community received its name from a nearby mountain and it means "too much wind." Cinder block and tin homes fill the region with hundreds of thousands of families. It is a bedroom community with access to 3 larger cities where people can work. It is estimated that the unemployment rate is 70%. Day labor and small gardening is common amongst the villages that surround the region.
South Africa
The Republic of South Africa, often called the "rainbow nation," makes up the southern tip of the continent of Africa. The country is plagued with HIV, and the numbers of orphaned and vulnerable children continue to grow. Though Apartheid is in the past, a remnant of racism and segregation remains, adding to the challenges of ministering to the poor.

GIVING HOPE IS SIMPLE, YET EFFECTIVE
Through CarePoints in local communities, Children's Cup provides the necessities and skills needed to thrive, but most of all we provide children the opportunity to learn about Christ.
Through generous sponsorship, you're providing hope and encouragement, but most importantly you're letting these children know their life has value and that they are loved. Thank you!
