Lindelwa Shongwe

Lindelwa is a clever young lady with a beautiful smile. She has four brothers and one sister, and lives with her mother and father. Currently, both parents are unemployed. To help take care of their home, one of Lindelwa's chores is to assist with the cooking. To get to school every day, she walks almost one mile. Her favorite class is Religious Education. For fun, Lindelwa likes to play an exhilarating game of dodgeball with her friends and neighbors. When she grows up, her dream is to care for others by becoming a police officer. By sponsoring Lindelwa, you are helping her to have a full and healthy childhood as well as a future filled with the hope of Jesus.

Lindelwa's Community: Hhelehhele

The Hhelehhele community is found in a town called Pigg’s Peak which is home to some of eSwatini's most beautiful waterfalls and several mountain ranges. The temperatures are rather extreme with cold winters and really hot summers with lots of rain. Unemployment is very high. Approximately 20% of the people are hired at the Mondi forests where they work on timber and the rest of the population is unemployed. Roughly 95% of the students don't graduate from high school because they lack school fees or career guidance. Even then, some of those who do graduate from high school end up staying at home with no funds to progress further to University.

Giving hope is simple, yet effective.

We provide the necessities and skills needed to thrive,  but most of all we provide children the opportunity to learn about Christ.
