Marisol Reyes

Marisol and her two sisters live with their father and mother who both work to support their family. Marisol is doing well in school and particularly enjoys her English classes. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day. When she's not at school and her chores at home are done, she can be found swimming with her friends. When Marisol prays, she asks God to help her grow and she prays for her future. Will you considering sponsoring Marisol and being an answer to her prayers?

La Barquita

Located on the banks of the Ozawa River, La Barquita, a little community of around 8,000, was settled by migrating peasants in 1965. It is located near the capital city. The land on the river is healthy for growing vegetables and raising cattle. However, the government had to move the farmers away from this area. The folks who have remained are poor, living in low-quality housing with homes built of wood, tin, and concrete blocks. Pollution, vulnerability, delinquency, disease, and lack of hope are experienced by all who live in La Barquita.
