Sikhanyiso has two brothers and a sister and lives with her mother, who works as a maid. To help around the house, Sikhanyiso washes dishes and gathers firewood. Sikhanyiso desires to help heal others as a doctor one day. She makes good grades in school, enjoys learning her English class the best. In her spare time, she can be found playing with dolls. Mbekelweni is located in a grassy area between the mountains and the valley, close to the major industrial site of the country. The majority of adult community members are working in factories. Most necessities are accessible, like clinics, schools, churches, and shops. Some homesteads do farming, but not for commercial purposes.
