San Isidro
San Isidro is a mixture of two communities. According to oral history, San Isidro emerged in the late eighteenth century. Many of the African slaves who were brought in to cut sugar cane escaped from the plantations and took refuge here, forming a small village. The people of this area perform different types of work. Some are drivers while others sell food, clothing, or candy from their houses. Moral corruption is a widespread problem.
Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic shares Hispaniola Island with the country of Haiti in the Caribbean region. Although the Dominican Republic has advanced telecommunications systems and a great transportation infrastructure, unemployment, corruption, and inconsistent electric service remain major problems.

GIVING HOPE IS SIMPLE, YET EFFECTIVE
Through CarePoints in local communities, Children's Cup provides the necessities and skills needed to thrive, but most of all we provide children the opportunity to learn about Christ.
Through generous sponsorship, you're providing hope and encouragement, but most importantly you're letting these children know their life has value and that they are loved. Thank you!
