"This is Darnel and his older brother Justin. Darnel has been coming to the CarePoint for quite a while now, and there has been a noticeable transformation in him over time. 🌟 Darnel has gone from being a kid who would refuse to sit down and distract other kids, to one who listens, pays attention, and even encourages others to do the same. He has been one of the most faithful and consistent participants in Kid’s Club and always shares information about the CarePoint with others. While all of this is amazing and commendable, and we praise and thank God for it, what has been even more beautiful to learn is the following. 💖"


"When school closed for summer break, we learned that Darnel has an older brother, Justin, who he started bringing along to the CarePoint for the different activities we were hosting. Justin has special needs and, sadly, isn’t always welcomed in every environment he enters, which sometimes makes it difficult for Darnel to bring his brother with him to different places. However, Darnel shared, 'it was an easy decision to bring my brother to the CarePoint.' The love, care, and kindness that Darnel has openly received, even when he wasn’t the most 'easy' child, made him confident that Justin would be received in the same manner. 🥰 What a beautiful blessing it was to hear this, and we pray for God to continue to work in and through Darnel and his brother Justin." ~ Jasmin Paz 🌻

WOW! Hearing a child confidently and comfortably say that it was an easy decision to bring his brother to the CarePoint, knowing that the love, attention, and hope he receives would equally be given to his brother, is the most heartwarming thing to hear. It makes me believe we are doing something right. It means we are truly living out our values of love and being treasure seekers because, indeed, Justin and Darnel are God’s treasures, starting to believe in hope and Jesus!
