Princess Nights
*I'm so grateful and happy to share this with you.
Our new Girls, or "Princess Meetings" as we call them, have been a great blessing, because more than a fun party or a Bible class, it has become a connection link to get closer and learn a little more about the realities faced by the girls in our CarePoints.
We've engaged in beautiful talks about stories like Abigail and her peaceable nature - as we listen to the girls share about conflict at home or challenges at school that are happening in real time. We talk about how challenging it can be to think together about solutions to conflicts that don't seem so easy. We even did a human knot practice, simulating how sometimes very tangled situations require that we all do our part to resolve the conflict and how sometimes we have to lower ourselves or let others go over it in order to solve it together and win it all!
Recognizing that we all go through similar situations helps us learn to take care of ourselves and to help each other out.
It is sad, but at the same time comforting to read these prayer requests:
A little girl of 11 years old wrote: please, so that my sister can come back home and be with me.
A 14-year-old girl wrote: I want you to pray for me because I am going through something very strong and I am in depression.
A little girl of 13 years old shared: so that my parents understand me and for my heart.
A little girl of 11 years old...: because I want my head to heal.
Another little girl of 11 years old said: because I need to be forgiven and saved by Jesus.
I must highlight that for me, one of my my favorite things to hear is when they ask God that we continue having Princess meetings. Because I know that in them, we give room to open and heal their hearts in a more intimate and safe way for them....reminding them that they are Princesses of a King who loves them and that in Him everything is possible.*
