We are in this to bring out the world changer in kids whose world is working against them. We want to put smiles on the faces and joy in the hearts of children - many of whom face unimaginable challenges every day. Through the work of Children’s Cup, they’re finding Hope. And that Hope is inspiring them to dream big and grow up to change their worlds in big ways.
We currently serve anywhere from 16,000 to 20,000 children, and we have a vision and strategy for reaching even more children. But in order to take our vision deeper and wider, we are going to need help from Friends like you. Our goal is to raise an additional $1.3 million.

PROGRAM EXPANSION
Children’s Cup has always been about providing meals to kids who are hungry and telling them about Jesus. But the new expanded Children’s Cup kid’s program will take it all to a new level - challenging the kids to grow in their faith, to see God use them in ways they never imagined, to systematically bring them through a discipleship program, and intentionally prepare them to be adults who walk in purpose and truly change the world around them.

The new Children’s Cup program includes development of a new curriculum and associated materials. It also includes additional facility areas for libraries, computers, and classroom settings.

Sadly, trauma is quite a common experience for the kids we serve. Through the new Children’s Cup program, we will be able to expand our ability to work closely with children who have faced trauma to help them find healing through counseling and social work.

Along with rolling out our new program, we want to make sure each of our CarePoints are as inviting, safe, and efficient as possible. Some just need a fresh coat of paint, some need upgrades to landscaping, and some need remodeling to fit the new program needs. Ultimately, each CarePoint needs to be ready for more kids to come and experience Jesus’ love. We want to welcome them into something beautiful.

PROPERTIES AND FACILITIES
In several of the communities we serve, we’re experiencing the wonderful “problem”. of having outgrown our facilities. For some locations, we’ll need to buy land and in others we’ll need to simply move facilities or remodel in order to make room for more! Additionally, as a result of the great work you’ve helped us do over the last three decades, we’re not being given more opportunities to serve in even more communities around the world.

This new CarePoint community was launched during the pandemic and has been operating out of a temporary location. But now, it’s time for a place we can host our new program, have room to grow, and for the kids to call their own.We’ve already raised half of the funds needed and just need to cover the remaining $10,000.
La Joya: $16,000
Just like El Peje, this new CarePoint community was born during the pandemic and has been operating out of a temporary location. In order to welcome more kids and launch our new program, it’s time for a new facility!Catalina: $20,000
We have been blessed to partner with a local church in Catalina to use their facility as a CarePoint during the week. But we now have the incredible opportunity to establish a new facility for our Catalina CarePoint not far from the church. Having our own land will give us the ability to serve more kids in more ways than ever before. -
San Jose CarePoint Building: $90,000
Our San Jose CarePoint currently meets at a temporary location with only capacity to serve meals. But were blessed to be able to purchase land near one of our key church partners. Now we just need to start building! Having this new facility will be a huge leap forward for our ability to serve the children in this community.

Nueva Esperanza: $18,000 (land and current structure)
A generous partner in Honduras has allowed us to serve the kids of the Nueva Esperanza CarePoint on his property. We now have an incredible opportunity to purchase land adjacent to the current location, giving us the opportunity to further expand our reach.
GLOBAL MINISTRY
Beyond the ministry that happens because of the donations from Friends (donors who give $44 monthly), there are operational and developmental needs that allow us to minister to kids above and beyond what these Friendship resources provide. And because of the success of our program model, we are now seeing opportunities in other countries to be able to expand our ministry to even more kids.

Before we can implement and expand our new Children’s Cup program, we need to increase our current operational support in each country. Below is the amount of additional funds we need in each.
Eswatini: $50,000

For us, it all starts with providing meals to children who are experiencing hunger. We have served millions of meals to kids over the years, and with each meal a big helping of Hope. Through the generosity of our partners, we are able to acquire 250,000 meals each - all we have to do is cover the shipping costs. On average, delivering those meals costs $12,000. This coming year we need 15 of these shipments.

We have the exciting opportunity to serve in several communities in Zimbabwe. While the needs are overwhelmingly tremendous, the children there are so beautiful - despite the trauma they live in. We believe that together, we can show them the beauty they have inside them. Launching into a new country takes a lot of resources - but we believe the investment is worth it, because it will make an eternal difference. The doors are wide open and we already have the leaders in place. All we need now are the funds.

Sharing the stories requires being on the ground to capture the beauty of the kids and families we are honored to serve. These funds help cover travel and production, as well as training for our local teams so that we can expand our capacity in communicating our heart and vision.

VANESSA IS WHY…
Vanessa was raised by her grandmother while her mom was away in South Africa working to provide. All throughout her childhood, she was part of the CarePoint. She shares how much she enjoyed the games, camps, and activities.
She also recalls that she almost didn’t finish high school, as her family couldn’t afford the school fees for her senior year. But with the help of our Friends, we were able to cover the costs for her to complete high school!
Since that time, Vanessa’s mom sadly passed away. This broke her heart because her mother was the only present parent in her life. However, after her mother's death, the father she had never even met reached out to her, in hopes of having a relationship with her.
And now, at 24 years old, Vanessa has been reunited with her father, lives with him in Hungary, and is studying general medicine!
She recently returned to eSwatini for a visit and we have loved being able to catch up with her, hearing about all God has done in her life.
She gives all thanks to the lessons of love, forgiveness, and perseverance she learned at the CarePoint, saying it has shaped her to be the God fearing young lady she is today.

WHY
africa and latin america?
In Southern Africa and Latin America, many children face a multitude of challenges that perpetuate a cycle of hopelessness and hinder their well-being. Extreme poverty serves as a primary factor, leading to increased gang activity, teen pregnancy, a broken education system worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic, rising suicide rates, unemployment, inflation, and substance abuse. As these issues combine, they create a detrimental environment for children, limiting their opportunities and threatening their prospects. We know that breaking this cycle requires addressing the root causes of poverty, providing access to quality education, healthcare, social support systems, and economic opportunities. By showing them the love of Jesus through it all, we are offering children a chance for a brighter future.
how YOUR FRIENDSHIP MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Friendships are the cornerstone of our approach and the catalyst for transformation. We have developed a model centered around building meaningful connections with the children we serve, providing them with a safe and nurturing space called a CarePoint. This is a safe place where kids can come to be known, seen, valued, and loved. Here they find friendships and receive the support they need to thrive.
To combat hopelessness, our initial step is to address the immediate physical needs of the children. We ensure they have access to nutritious meals and address their essential physical requirements. By starting here, we lay the foundation for their overall well-being and create an environment where they can transition out of survival mode and begin to flourish.
THE CHILDREN’S CUP PROGRAM
Our program is designed as a comprehensive three-part experience that guides children through their entire childhood journey.
Hopeful Heroes
It begins here, where young children learn to build their lives on the foundation of hope in Jesus. We provide them with spiritual guidance, instill values, and help them develop a sense of purpose and faith.
Dream Chasers
Here we focus on nurturing children's dreams and helping them discover the great plans that God has for their lives. Through mentorship, counseling, and educational support, we encourage them to envision a future filled with possibilities and equip them with the tools they need to pursue their dreams.
Change Makers
As the youth transition into adulthood, we shift our focus to helping them become "Change Makers." We empower them by providing life and job readiness skills, vocational training, and mentorship, enabling them to live out God's purpose for their lives and make a positive difference in their communities.

Over the last 30 years, our programs have grown and expanded, but the core values remain unchanged. We begin by sharing the love of Jesus and consistently meeting the felt needs of the children. Through our model of friendship and holistic support, we aim to break the cycles of despair and offer children a brighter future. By addressing their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs, we create a nurturing environment where they can thrive and develop into confident, resilient individuals who can contribute positively to their communities.
