The vision of Children’s Cup to inspire children and change their worlds is achieved through the power of friendships. True transformation in the lives of the children we serve happens through genuine connections with our dedicated friends who deeply connect with the children we serve.

Friends of Children’s Cup create meaningful relationships with the children. These friendships go beyond just providing support; they become the catalyst for hope and inspiration. Our team and our friends walk alongside the children, empowering them to overcome obstacles and envision a brighter future.

Friendship creates safe spaces, where children can freely express themselves, explore their dreams, and find encouragement to pursue those dreams. Our friends ensure that the children know they are loved, heard, cherished, and believed in, and this empowers the children to embark on a journey of growth, resilience, and transformation. Through these powerful friendships, we foster an environment where the vision of giving hope, inspiring dreams, and changing worlds becomes a shared reality.

WHY

ESWATINI AND MEXICO?

In eSwatini and Mexico, many children face a multitude of challenges that perpetuate a cycle of hopelessness and hinder their well-being. Extreme poverty serves as a primary factor, leading to increased gang activity, teen pregnancy, a broken education system worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic, rising suicide rates, unemployment, inflation, and substance abuse. As these issues combine, they create a detrimental environment for children, limiting their opportunities and threatening their prospects. We know that breaking this cycle requires addressing the root causes of poverty, providing access to quality education, healthcare, social support systems, and economic opportunities.  By showing them the love of Jesus through it all, we are offering children a chance for a brighter future.

We want to personally invite you, Victory Church, to join us on our mission to give hope, inspire dreams, and bring out the world-changer in kids in eSwatini and Mexico. We feel God is calling us to go deeper and wider than ever before and we can’t (nor want to) do it without Friends like you!

HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE?

here are the needs of the LUDZELUDZE carepoint:

Ludzeludze is located near the Ngabezweni Palace of the royal family of Eswatini. Historically, the king would go up to rest on the mountain that is next to the CarePoint. Our prayer is that not only would an earthly king find rest in this place, but that the King of Heaven and Earth would also make His dwelling place here. Even with challenges like high crime and unemployment rates, prostitution, drug abuse, and poverty – beyond all of that, what we see is beautiful. We see hope! Here, the children at the CarePoint are learning about and receptive to the love of Jesus. They’re learning about His Word! And we can’t wait to see how He inspires their dreams to change the world!

MINISTRY AND PROGRAM NEEDS

  • This is the annual GameDay event for the Youth Group program. It would follow the Upward Sports curriculum and bring together the CarePoints and other local teams to participate in a sports tournament. It will include guest speakers, devotional time, and outreach opportunities. The budget includes food and drinks, gifts, t-shirts, transportation, prizes, and necessary equipment.

  • Through Guguletfu (which is a SiSwati word meaning “Treasured Ones”) we spend time honoring children with disabilities while also offering a community of support for their caregivers. Our heart is to see these precious kids living life to fullest. We aim to provide education, promote inclusion, strengthen community, and most of all - celebrate these treasured ones!

  • Building improvements (floors, gas installations for food stoves, common areas, security, electricity, bathrooms, drinking water pipes, window glazing, etc.)

  • Up-fit of Current Kitchen will allow us to cook at the facility and welcome in children of the community.

  • Due to the operation and the activities carried out in each of the centers, there is a deterioration of the buildings and facilities of this, so it is necessary to make a periodic investment to keep it in operating conditions that do not stop the programs that are carried out, so the following project is proposed.

  • Keeping our facilities up to date on all health and safety issues is a priority as we want to provide a safe and fun place for all children to feel welcomed at.

  • Making a few changes to the existing bathrooms would allow us to serve our children better as well as provide a space to promote proper hygiene.

Friendships are the cornerstone of our approach and the catalyst for transformation. We have developed a model centered around building meaningful connections with the children we serve, providing them with a safe and nurturing space called a CarePoint. This is a safe place where kids can come to be known, seen, valued, and loved. Here they find friendships and receive the support they need to thrive.

To combat hopelessness, our initial step is to address the immediate physical needs of the children. We ensure they have access to nutritious meals and address their essential physical requirements. By starting here, we lay the foundation for their overall well-being and create an environment where they can transition out of survival mode and begin to flourish.

THE CHILDREN’S CUP PROGRAM

Our program is designed as a comprehensive three-part experience that guides children through their entire childhood journey.

Hopeful Heroes

It begins here, where young children learn to build their lives on the foundation of hope in Jesus. We provide them with spiritual guidance, instill values, and help them develop a sense of purpose and faith.

Dream Chasers

Here we focus on nurturing children's dreams and helping them discover the great plans that God has for their lives. Through mentorship, counseling, and educational support, we encourage them to envision a future filled with possibilities and equip them with the tools they need to pursue their dreams.

Change Makers

As the youth transition into adulthood, we shift our focus to helping them become "Change Makers." We empower them by providing life and job readiness skills, vocational training, and mentorship, enabling them to live out God's purpose for their lives and make a positive difference in their communities.

Over the last 30 years, our programs have grown and expanded, but the core values remain unchanged. We begin by sharing the love of Jesus and consistently meeting the felt needs of the children. This foundation allows us to build genuine friendships that foster long-term transformation, not only for individuals but also for their families and entire communities.

Through our model of friendship and holistic support, we aim to break the cycles of despair and offer children a brighter future. By addressing their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs, we create a nurturing environment where they can thrive and develop into confident, resilient individuals who can contribute positively to their communities. With the combination of our Children's Cup programs, the dedication of our teams and volunteers, and the support and encouragement from our friends, we are able to make our vision and mission a reality, giving hope, inspiring dreams, and changing worlds.

MEET ANABEL

Ever since she was born, Anabel had problems with her kidneys. When she was eight years old, things got so bad that she stopped attending school. And by the age of 13, she often had days that she couldn’t even get up to walk around because the pain was so bad. 

But when she joined the Cumbres CarePoint, things began to change. Her mother told us that once she started eating healthy meals with us, she has seen a significant change in Anabel’s health. She has started gaining weight, got the color back to her skin, her symptoms have started to diminish drastically, and she feels so much better! 

Whereas before she was hardly able to walk, run, or play – now she can do all of those things and more! Not only that, but our team has even been able to help Anabel connect with a medical specialist at a local hospital where she is receiving the treatment she needs to continue to get healthy! 

While Anabel is receiving physical care, she and her whole family are also experiencing the deep support and love of Jesus. We know that God is transforming their lives and that Anabel’s future is bright!

With a monthly contribution of $44, Friends provide comprehensive support for one child to be part of the Children's Cup program offered at our CarePoints. This contribution covers all aspects of our three-part program, serving children in their body, mind, and spirit from childhood to young adulthood.

Your support ensures that the child receives holistic care, addressing their physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs. It enables us to provide nutritious meals, essential resources, and access to education to nurture their body and mind. Additionally, it allows us to offer spiritual guidance, mentorship, and life skills training to support their spiritual growth and development.

Engagement is indeed the heart of Friendship and is crucial for making a meaningful impact on the children's lives. By using the Friendship Dashboard, friends can actively encourage the children, offer prayers, and celebrate their victories. This platform, similar to a private Facebook group, provides a space to stay updated on the happenings at the CarePoint and foster connections with the children.

To take engagement to the next level, participating in team trips offers a firsthand experience of the incredible work being done. By joining these trips, friends can immerse themselves in the children's stories, dreams, and experiences, creating deeper connections and witnessing the transformative power of friendship in action.

Through active engagement on the Friendship Dashboard and participating in team trips, friends have the opportunity to make a real difference by providing encouragement, prayers, and celebration to the children while also gaining a deeper understanding of their lives and the impact of their support.
