Dijon, a 13-year-old boy with a tough exterior and a bright smile, is known for making his presence felt at the CarePoint. He often brings energy and mischief, typical for a boy his age. But something unexpected happened at the Christmas party that would change him in a way no toy or gift could.

Dijon came back to the CarePoint the day after the party, visibly moved, and shared a powerful story. A Friend, visiting from the US, had spent time with him during the party. This Friend, who had met him just briefly, told Dijon she would be praying for him every day. Dijon, usually the tough guy, admitted that the words brought him to tears. He didn’t fully understand why, but he was overwhelmed by the care and attention from someone who barely knew him.

For Dijon, this moment was a revelation—God had a plan and purpose for his life. It was a realization that God’s love is bigger than what he had imagined. The act of a Friend, from so far away yet so connected through prayer, was a gift far greater than anything he could hold in his hands.

When Dijon was asked if his story could be shared, he eagerly agreed. “Yes, you have permission,” he said. Please join us in praying for Dijon, believing that God will continue to move in his life in incredible ways. 🙏💖
